1998
In 1998 Stefano Marzano, Philips Corporate Design and Philips Electronics was awarded the Compasso D'Oro for their x-ray systems "Integris H5000 Cardiac System".
2001
In 2001 the World Technology Network awarded Marzano the World Technology Award for Design.
2005
In 2005 Stefano Marzano was awarded the Best Leader in the field of Innovation.
"The Italian-born Marzano heads the autonomous creative division of Dutch consumer-electronics giant Philips.
Since 1991, he has more than quadrupled employees at Philips Design, to 450, in 12 international offices, making it one of the world's largest creative agencies. He's also overseen a strong of commercial and creative successes such as the curvy Senseo coffee maker, launched in 2001, which sold more than 10 million units."
2008
In April of 2008, the University of Sapienza in Rome awarded Marzano with the title Doctor of Design Honoris Causa.
2009
In October 2009 the Hong Kong Polytechnic University awarded Marzano the title of Doctor of Design Honoris Causa.
2012
In April, 2012, Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands bestowed the title "Knight in the Order of Oranje-Nassau" for his innovative vision of design that transformed Philips throughout the 38 years in which Marzano worked for the company.
Furthermore, Marzano has worked intensively to strengthen society, economy, and education. Furthermore, he has had a decisive influence on the design structure around Eindhoven, and in the Netherlands.
